From the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s I had the opportunity to shoot weddings, parties, events and other venues in the Abilene and Dallas area until one day I just stopped. I sold my equipment and took a hiatus from photography. For the most part traditional weddings were no longer enjoyable.

Peers have told me that work and weddings are not supposed to be fun, I disagree. Non traditional digital wedding photography is fun for the participants and photographers. Non traditional allows the photographer to utilize a more candid style, somewhat photojournalistic noting attention to detail and humor. This format also allows the family and guests to express themselves in a way considered taboo years past. I strive to be the least invasive while shooting weddings, this also lends well to the non traditional approach allowing for a more relaxed event.

Digital photography allows me to express myself when editing your wedding memories. I utilize black and white photography as much as color, often taking a black and white photograph and adding color back into on object in the scene. There are examples on the home page.

So I am back shooting and ready to help you plan and document your wedding, so in years to come you will be able to not only see yourselves and the guests at your wedding, but what you all were feeling as well.

This website is a work in progress and I will not be using any material from weddings I shot back in the day. I want this site to be an expression of recent work only.
